| Below are a few of our most Frequently Asked Questions Q. How much ground space do I need to install a bouncy castle in my garden? A. You will need 2ft extra on either side of the bouncy castle and 5ft at the back for the blower. You will also need approximately 5ft in front of the castle, to ensure that there is enough space to get on and off the castle safely.
Q. What type of surface do I need? A. All we ask for the area to be clear from anything that could damage the castle, such as sharp objects, glass, stones, overhanging branches, dog mess etc.. Q. Can the castles go indoors? A. Our castles can be used in halls and other indoor venues, although they require a minimum 14 ft ceiling height. If you book a castle before ensuring the area meets our requirements, we reserve the right not to erect the castle if we believe it to be dangerous or unsuitable. If this happens, we require 50% of the booking fee to be paid by the hirer. Q. What happens if it rains? A. Our castles come with sewn-in raincovers so children will be protected during light rain. If it does begin to rain heavily, the castle will need to be turned off and deflated. Please check the forecast the day before your booking date as we do not charge a cancellation fee prior to delivery. Q. Do you offer a free delivery service? A.Yes, we deliver the bouncy castle free of charge, within approx 10miles of Southampton. There is a small surcharge for delivery outside this area. Q. What time do you deliver the bouncy castle? A. We deliver and collect at any time that suits you, all that we ask is for a responsible adult to be there at the time of the delivery and collection.Q.What is the Disclaimer? A. When we deliver the castle, you will be required to sign the Disclaimer Form to say that you have fully read and understood the Terms and Conditions of Hire and safety aspects.Q. Is Rascals Castles insured? A. Yes. We do have Public Liability Insurance which would cover any accidents which were our fault, such as equipment failure or failing to install the inflatable properly. You are responsible for the supervision of the inflatable during the hiring period. Q. Would you take the Bouncy Castle through the house to get into the back garden? A. Yes, at the household owners risk if there is no back gate in use. Bouncy castles are rather bulky and large when deflated. We can only manage going up or down a few steps, as the castles are very heavy!
Q. How does the castle stay up? A. We use an electric blower, which stays on continually while the castle is in use. We will need access to a power supply within 50 feet of the castle. The castle takes about 15-20 minutes to set up and 15-20 minutes to pack away.
Q. When and how do I pay? A. We ask for full payment in cash on delivery of the castle.
